Book worm fo sho.

Here is my book selection.  FYI, i am the biggest nerd ever because you will quickly notice 95% of these books are young adult vampire/fairy/immortal ridiculous fantasies with cute ridiculous love storie for the most part.  i swear, im reading them for research so I can efficiently and effectively write my own YA series someday :D

  1. My Blood Approves : An indie writer writes this series, Amanda Hocking.  Awesome book, awesome series, I absolutely love it.. I am patiently awaiting the next books to be released!!!
  2. Fate  (My Blood Approves series)
  3. Flutter (My Blood Approves series)
  4. Shiver  : This book was also amazing.. Absolute like Maggie Stiefvater, she is a great writer. This book is similar to a twilight-esque story, only it is better written and kind of has a better story.  It is interesting.  Great read though, highly recommended
  5. Switched (Trylle Trilogy) : Another series Amanda Hocking just started, another great read.  I can't lie though, the My Blood Approves series is still my favorite of hers.  I am looking forward for the next book to be released though!
  6. Glimmerglass : I honestly dont remember this one.  It was about faeries and obviously wasn't that awesome if i cant remember it ;)
  7. Linger: Another Maggie Stiefvater book, it is the second book in the Shiver series that i mentioned previously.  definitely not as good as shiver though.  it is still a good book and worth the read.  A lot of critics put this book as better but the story telling and the story itself changed and expanded quite a bit here, almost too much.  I felt like too much was going on and not enough was resolved.  Youll see if you read it.
  8. Wicked Lovely : another awesome book, i believe about faeries again.  I apparently love faeries, HAH!
  9. Lament: The Faerie Queen's Deception : Another Maggie Stiefvater book!  This is a different series though about faeries.  Great book as well.  There is another book in the series, but it is not a continuation of the same story, it is told by the perspective of one of the other characters in this story though.  I havent read that one yet because I was disappointed it was not a continuation, which I think the series would have benefitted from more if it had been a continuation.
  10. Raven : Kind of silly.
  11. Wondrous strange : Awesome book, another faerie book but it was quite awesome.  It is possibly one of my favorite fae books actually, i was a huge fan of this series :-)
  12. Eternal : very silly vampire book that I bought because it was like $2.00 on kindle. lol. dont read it, it was ridiculous.
  13. Darklight : This is the second book in the wondrous strange series I believe.  Another great book, currently awaiting book 3!
  14. Immortal
  15. Wings : Another fae book that I just read, this is also up there with the favorites.  Although, it is a very slow start.  The second book was better.
  16. Mockingjay : one of the best books I have read.  It is an amazing series, The Hunger game Series by Suzanne Collins.  She is a magnificent writer.  Her stories are brillliant and although there is a little bit of a love story going on, it is definitely mostly an action based book.  They are actually in the process of making a Hunger Games Movie, I believe they actually just released who would be directing it within the last month.  this is definitely at the top of my recommended list!!  Just an amazing series all around.  The first book is a little difficult to get into it, but once you get a few chapters in, it is extremely difficult to put down.
  17. Spells : The second book after wings, it was an awesome second book, I loved it.  cant wait for the third to be released!!
  18. Siren : Not so good a book. I read it because it took place in Maine, but lets just say I thought the title would give away the whole premise of the book.  It did.  Dumb title decision in my opinion, definitely should have come up with something else instead of something that gives the mystery that attempts to play out through out the whole book away.  So basically, the mystery that was played out like it was there, wasn't really there because of the damn title.  I was disappointed.  I thought thered be some kick and twist to it, but there wasn't.  Kind of was a waste of time, but hey, i had to read it.. it took place in maine!!
  19. The Pace : Another great series!! This series is similar to like, a twilight meets city of bones-esque book.  Basically, there is a semi supernatural thing going on, but it has a scientific base, which makes it more realistic, which is probably why I like it.  I Would definitely recommend this book.  This book is actually part of "The Pace series," but I have so far only been able to read this first book.

and my Current Venture, Clockwork Angel :D  this is by Cassandra Clare, who happens to be the author of the Mortal Instruments Series (ie. city of bones, city of ashes, city of glass, etc).  In other words, one of my favorite authors.  PS. twilight lovers, that series is WAY better In my opinion.  :)

Oh goodness, is Twilight's effect really starting to lose its hold on my life as I expand my reading horizons?!!?! :-O. OH MAN. THERE ARE BETTER BOOKS ABOUT THE SAME STUFF THAN TWILIGHT OUT THERE.  AMAZING.. ;)

My return from fallilng off the face of the Earth..

Goodness me, I havent updated in forever.. I happen to have a few spare minutes this morning before my day turns absolutely awesomely insane but crazy busy!! :-)

Obviously my summer semester has came and gone.  I ended up getting a B+ in marketing management, a A- in my religion course and an A- in my anthropology course, so Overall, I was thrilled with my grades.  Not so much the B+ and I thought I had done better than that, but I'll take it.

So, school has obviously started again for the fall semester as well.  One month into the semester, roughly 2.5 to go before its done... yay.. ;)  Classes are actually going alright this semester, lots of work though and tons of stuff to be doing constantly (which isnt so fun).

Here is a brief run down of classes and my rating of how theyare:

BUS365 - Consumer Behavior --> This is actually one of my favorite classes, possibly because it is a specific course towards my major.  I absolutely love it. The professor, Johnny Chen, is new this year and he is somewhat dry but the information is extremely interesting.  I think it is his first year teaching so I am chalking some up to nerves.  He is definitely becoming more laid back, interesting, and fun as the semester progresses and he gets to know us as students.  So overall, I really love this class.  It is probably my favorite class this semester, actually.  EVEN THOUGH I ABSOLUTELY HATE that is happens to be MW 845-1000.  Whoever decided classes needed to start so early must be an insomniac or something who doesnt sleep anyways so 845 is no big deal to be awake.

BUS361 - International Marketing -->  I have actually had this professor previously, Bob Heiser.  I took marketing research with him last semester.  Although, I can't lie, Marketing research has proven to be a bit more itneresting than international marketing.  However, he never takes attendance and doesnt really care if you are there or not, and I think my realization of this for this semester has somewhat played into my opinion of the course.  I have definitely already skipped class on wednesday twice.  On mondays, we venture to the computer lab to use a simulation program called Country manager, where you have to enter a new country with a new product (we are currently attemping to enter with toothpaste) and you have to determine a lot of different factors when introducing the new product.  Ie. how much advertising, what type will you sell, what size, what market are you targeting to, etc.  It is actually really cool, hence why I have only missed Wednesdays, which happen to be lecture days.  His tests (which we got out first one the other day) are answer 5 out of 7 essay questions, take as long as you need and use as much information and resources as you want (just site it) and you have one week to submit it.  LOL.  It is awesome.

BUS370 - Operations Management -->  This is also another new professor this year, Matthew Dean.  He is actually pretty relaxed and his tests so far have been pretty easy for the most part.  I definitely know what I need to study for the next class, anyways ;).  This class is somewhat math based, but not entirely (which is good because I hate math and I am already taking a stats/math class which i will discuss next), thank god.  He is a pretty cool guy though and is willing to help you out when you have questions.  I got an 85 on my first exam which as like the second highest grade in the class, so I was pleased with that.

BUS375 - Management science --> AKA hell class.  As referred to by even my professor.. YAY... this is the math/stats class I just mentioned.  My professor is really young but ridiculously enthusiastic about statistics, I have no idea how, but she absolutely loves it.  We cover five topics: Decision Analysis, Forecasting, Queing Theory, Linear Regression................... and one other one (i think, i might have messed one up, oh well!)  We have to do group case studies with each topic as well.  So far, we have completed our decision analysis case and were assigned our forecasting case this past tuesday, which is due this coming tuesday.  Typically, you put roughly 30 hours in per case has been the average that most groups have come up with.  I mean really, it is a lot of work, but if you know what you are doing and you pay attention and see the tutors, it does make a big difference.  we were all thrilled because we got a 90 on the first case, the highest grade being a 92, the lowest being a 69, with the average being somewhere around 82-84 I believe.  So, Everyone says the cases get harder as you go, but forecasting is going pretty smoothly for me so thats a good sign anyways, for now! As nerdy as this sounds.. I kind of actually LIKE forecasting.  You know school owns your life when you can consider something like forecasting fun, LOL.. Brett says its good cause it means im in the right field ;) hahah.. oh he must be right.. ;).. lol.. Cases also are 12% of our grade each, equaling out to 60% while the final is 15% and class participation is 25%.  Can I just mention how much i HATE participation and talking out in class? AHG.

BUS450 - Business management and Policy -->  This is my online class this semester, which has actually been fun but has proven to be a lot of work and very tedious work at that.  However, grades have been good so far (got an A on the first exam).  We have weekly chapter quizzes, each worth 20 points.  We also have to participate in discussion forums on weekly cases that go along with the chapter we just read.  Discussion in total is worth 5 points per week.  I actually just took the second exam, which is due 10/7.  yay for me. ;) lol.  It is not a bad class its just a lot of work.

So, that covers my classes.  They really aren't too bad, just very heavy workload, although there are definitely some that I can slack in a little bit, which makes my life easier when Management Science and Business management and policy pretty much own my life.

Since its been forever since i updated my reading selection adn i had all summer to read, im going to make another post with my reading material.  :) and ill probably have to finish it .later because i doubt i have time to cover all the books i read in the short span of me waiting for brett to get home

BECAUSE.  WE MOVE TODAY. TO PORTLAND.  AHGG SO EXCITEDDDDD <3<3<3

Summer Sun you are the one

Haven't posted in a long time!

Let's see.. The  Spring 2010 semester ended and I finished the semester with around a 3.7 i believe?  I made the dean's list again though, so for the fall 2009-spring 2010 semesters, i was deans list!! my whole junior year on the dean's list!!! I was VERY thrilled!! super exciting..

I am taking 3 courses this summer, one of which ends tonight actually.  My marketing management class started the week after finals (may 18th) and lasted for 7 weeks of going to class tues & thurs from 7-930.  Very thrilled today is my last day :-)

I am also taking a class called spiritual heritage, which is a class that focuses on studying religions and the different aspects of those religions.  It's an online class that runs from June 14 until the end of July.  I also am signed up to start a 4 week (online) Anthropology course that starts July 6 and goes until the end of July as well.. So, even though I am taking 3 classes this summer, I will have the entire month of August free as a bird!!! Very exciting, if I do say so myself.

In the time since my last post, I have read MANY Books.

I finished the Percy Jackson series, which was an amazing series.  I was very pleased with how it ended and I can't wait to read more of Rick Riordan's work!  He released another series called the red pyramid i believe?  and he is releasing another series i think called the lost hero?    very excited!!

I also read the blue bloods series. I know, me and my damn vampires :-P  the first book was kind of silly but they progressively get way better.  The fourth book was absolutely amazing!

I also read 2 books in a series i started last summer that I didnt even know had been released!!  Shadowland and dark flame (actually that is currently what i am working on ;-) hehe)  they are kind of silly and chilidhs but i like the alternate sort of world they enter called summerland.  its a fun read.

I also read.. catching fire, which is the second book in the hunger games series. AMAZING BOOK.  its a great series.  I highly recommend it!

I also read the first book in the series about Sookie Stackhouse.. the series that trueblood is based on.  However, I only read the firstbook and am undecided about if i want to continue the series.  It was a good book, but its pretty much exactly like the show.. I love the show and all, but its like watching it twice, except the second time is much slower because im actually reading it as it happens ;-)

I am sure that there are several books i am missing, but thats what i got for the time being :-P

well thats pretty much how ive been spending all my time.  no wedding stuff is set or anything yet.. still trying to figure things out before we start making any plans as far as a wedding date and all that stuff is concerned. :-)

I love him though, he is amazing!

On April 29th, Brett proposed to me.  We were at dinner at Walter's, and it was very, VERY romantic.. he is just the most wonderful person I have ever met and I love him to the ends of the Earth.  I am the luckiest girl in the world and he is all mine!!! he is my FIANCEE! we are ENGAGED!! we are going to be getting married! (in a while though, long engagement is agreed on ahahah)

I love him, and I love life..

AND I LOVE MY ROCK OF A RING!!

Shawtyyy its your birfdaay (almost!)

It has been awhile.

Yes, I am almost 21, only a few more days now!!

I do have to attend a funeral the morning of for Brett's grandfather, which will be rather difficult.  He was a great man and he is missed dearly..  I love Brett's family and want to show my support for their loss.  I know it has been a struggle for them..

After the funeral, we will be heading over to Hollywood Slots in Bangor for an evening of playing slots machine and being ridiculous (AND MY FIRST LEGAL DRINKS)  which will be pretty friggin awesome! I am very excited for that.  I hope we are all able to move on from the funeral and celebrate my birthday along with the life that Brett's grandpa led.

On another note.. The semester is almost over as well!!  Only one week left of regular classes, then it is Finals week!!!

I have one final I have to actually go for at this point, which is my Marketing Research class for our last presentation.  My CRM class has our final presentation on Wednesday, 5/5, and afterwards my professor has invited everyone out for a drink to Great Lost Bear to celebrate!! I am TOTALLY going.. and I am super excited because 1) ill actually BE ABLE to drink and 2) MY PROFESSOR IS TOTALLY BUYING ME A BEER.  HOW AWESOME.  I LOVEEE ITTTT!!!

I am definitely going to be totally MIA this weekend because of work, class work, and funeral/birthday festitivities, so I am trying to get as much of my work done tonight/tomorrow as I possibly can so I do not have to stress about it over my birthday.  I want to have a clear mind, nothing to worry about!!!!

I want to try to get as much as I can completed with assignments so I do not do my usually procrastination gig and get ridiculous amounts of work handed out to me at the end of the semester.  Just trying to get ahead and get done what has been assigned as it comes in so it is one less thing to worry about for me!  Hopefully that method will work out successfully for me :-P

On another note, since I work in the morning, I should probably get to bed.

Hope everyone has been doing well and doesnt get too stressed out for end of the semester! SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE.. just remember that!! <3

Life is too short to worry about things.  The important thing is to just be here in the now and enjoy the life you are living and everything you have.  Worrying is just a waste of time, and it is something I do all of the time.  I over think every movement, every motion, every word I speak...  It can be very annoying at times.

Sometimes, we just need to shut our brains off.. We need to not think, just do things the way we want to without calculating every possibility or every action we make.  Sometimes we just need to act on instinct!  I will learn... slowly, but surely, to not overcalculate every thing i say and do..

Live each moment for the present, not for the future, not for the past.. Live for NOW..  because now is the only thing that matters.. it is the only thing that is guarenteed to us.. Today is all we have :-)

Love life. :-)

Word Wizard!

Ha.. Since my last post, I have finished reading City of Bones and also Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters (book 2 in the series).

Both books were excellent.  Percy Jackson was a quick read, I started it last night and finished it this morning!!  Excellent book :-) Highly recommended series.. I personally kind of like it a little more than harry potter, or at least equally as much.. I think the contributing factor is I read percy jackson first (the first book anyways).. and I had seen the HP movies before reading it.  It would have been better if i havent already seen the movies.  I like them both a lot though :-)

City of Bones was also very good, but depending on how they take the series in the next few books could alter my thoughts on it.. There were just some parts I am not sure if I agreed with so I want to see how it plays out.. We will see though!

Today is Brett's dad's Birthday, so we are going to see Alice in Wonderland later this afternoon and then I believe we are going out to dinner..  Sounds like a great day! I am very excited, I always have fun with his family on outings like this :-)

I'm coming waltzing back and moving into your head

"#41" - Dave Matthews

Not sure when this was taken, but my love and I <3 he holds the key to my soul...
I finished reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets a couple nights ago.. I loved it!! It was wonderful.. I definitely need a HP break though, so I just started my next venture.. "City of Bones" by Cassandra Clare. So far it is excellent, and someone I work with told me it was a great read.. and she has very similiar book taste to me so I am very excited!! I love the whole fantasy literature... If I am reading, I want to be swept away from reality into a world that I can't experience first hand. I want something different from the every day existence of normal people. I want to read about vampires, wizards, and werewolves. I want to read about magical places and faeries.. I say faeries because I saw in the back of City of Bones, there was a recommended series on the "darker side" of faeries.. I think that will be one of my ventures. Very excited :-D I feel so nerdy, but I can not help the feeling a good book gives me.. Nothing beats it.... :-)

Our fingerprints dont fade from the lives we touch..

Today, one little girl touched my heart.  Chelsea and I were out for the afternoon with her daughter, Madison.  We went to Friendies and Fort Williams and it was absolutely amazing.

Madison reminded me of a few important things though.  She reminded me of the beauty of being young and having a big imagination... How I can not hold back my laughter when I see little kids laughing and being silly.. and my love for encouraging the public singing of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in the middle of lunch :-).  I wish I was still that creative and still could refer to myself as various cartoon characters.. Scooby Doo in particular (she actually shares my taste in the cartoon characters of choice ;-) haha)..

Kids are just so innocent.. We were walking around Fort Williams and she was holding on to the back of my sweater and we were making pretend we were on a roller coaster.. it was just a blast.  I had a smile on my face the entire time.

It was great to spend time with Chels.  Sometimes, their are people you just click with.. no hesitations whatsoever.  She is definitely that type of person for me.  A great day off with great company.

I have to say, I don't think their "fingerprints" will ever leave my heart.

Prince Charming? More like, Prince I-hate-you-&-lets-make-up-later? Definitely more like it

Sometimes I wish that my life was like a fairy tale.  Other times, I am so glad that my life is my own story.  It is my story and no one else can own it or probably even compare.  And I have a feeling more people feel like that then not.  Seriously, who wants all that lovey dovey first kiss butterflies pop up bullshit anyways?

I would prefer to have my crazy love.  My crazy, insane, makes me want to pull my hair out, head over heels in love.  Screaming and yelling and then play wrestling on the bed.  Id rather stay up for hours and play Lego Indiana jones with my boyfriend and be a complete goof off then have to fight dragons or deal with fairy god mothers.  Who can really stand those fairy god mothers anyways?  Someone grab me a fly swatter, STAT!

But who can't deny how awesome the whole idea of Prince Charming is, unless you have totally vowed off love and lost faith in it?  I totally had thought love was all an act for a long long time, but look at me now!  A dose of reality and some good friends are all we need.. And a good man never hurt anything, either ;-)

While we are on the subject...
A nice batch of freshly cooked cookies never hurt anyone either... :-D

I've heard the grass is always greener, on the lovers side of town..

So, I love Joe Purdy.  He's a pretty awesome musician, kind of a folksie bluesy kind of guy.  But you should all take a listen.. My personal favs are Lovers side of town, I love the rain most, and Mary May :-) very excellent tunes.

In another note, I have been bored in waiting for class and have been on bretts Macbook and have been using the photobooth feature.  Here is my little photo session today so you can giggle with me HAHAHA  it was a blast, im going to do it again later i think ahaha.   I know.. im such a cool kid sometimes, huh! ;-)

LOL you like that last face? hahaha

Yea I'm pretty baller sometimes.  I freakin love this little photobooth feature, ahahahahha i forgot about it until a few minutes ago.. Im going to make brett take pictures with me after class.. wish me luck, AHAh

Ill write a real entry later..  :-)

It rains in your bedroom, everything is wrong... It rains where you're here and it rains when you're gone..

I have been a huge bookworm lately and I love it.  I am a particular fan of fantasy type worlds where you get sucked into the story and are just literally part of another world as you read.  Call me nerdy, call it what you want, but I absolutely LOVE it..

What better escape from reality is there?  I am not sure I know of one.

A good book drags you in and makes you never want to stop reading.  You just keep going and going because you are dying to find out what happens next.  This is what makes a good writer.  Its interesting, it has twists, it surprises you, and it makes you feel like you are right there, witnessing the whole thing.  Oh, nothing better, nothing better!  What I would do to be a part of these stories!

Without having a good book to read now, I just feel a little lonely and sad; what am I supposed to do with spare time when I have no homework to work on?  Or when I'm not with friends?  Or when Brett is doing other stuff and I am just kind of hanging out at his house?  Let me tell you, there is certainly not enough on TV to keep me entertained ALL the time, even with like a ton of channels (they are all awful for the most part).

Due to my new bookworm-ish ways, some of my entries are certainly going to be book reviews or recommendations.  I hope people find it helpful in searching for their own reading material!  So I will end this entry by beginning my recommendations/reviews :-)

I am starting book 2 of Harry Potter, and have several other book series I am currently working on.  my top three series currently are:

Harry Potter
The Hunger Games
Percy Jackson and the Olympians

I would highly recommend all of them if you are into the fantasy gig.  The Hunger games is a little different, a little more realistic.. and as brett describes it, "Post-Apocalyptic" but its a very good read and I would highly recommend it.  The first few chapters are a little slow, but necessary to introduce you to the characters and build up the story surrounding the "games" and the living atmosphere?  Not sure how to address it without giving it away!

Now I'm off to start Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! :-)

The greatest thing youll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.

You're my dream come true, My one, and only you.. (-The Platters - "Only You")

Love is my reason to wake up in the morning.. To carry on.. its my reason to be. Love love love, ahh what it is to love.. to be loved.. such a beautiful thing..

You know, I truly believe love is one of the greatest things that humans are capable of.  Love is a gift, an innocent, pure, miraculous gift.  Its one of those things that sets us apart from everything else.  We have the capability of emotions and to love others so deeply..  Love is a beautiful thing.  It's hard to fully understand it even until you are able to experience true love (which I do believe exists for everyone).

When it's love, you'll know it.  You'll get that feeling deep in the pit of your stomach.. The butterflies when he looks at you that special way, or the way he touches your cheek.  You can always hear it in the way they speak to you.  Any guy who thinks you look cute in pajamas with your make up all over your face and your hair a mess first thing in the morning and still thinks you look beautiful.. That, my friend, is a man in love.

The one person that makes you swoon, that 'oo lala' love, the one that would give you the moon, the stars, and the sky if he could.  He would do anything just to see a smile on your face.  And she would be there for him at any time, day or night.  She would listen to him and encourage him, always supportive of his decisions.

You know it's love.  Love inspires.  Love is beauty.  Love is the farthest and closest thing to perfection any one in this world will ever have.  Love should be crazy and wild and out of this world! playful, fabulous, wonderful love.. ahhh!!..

Tricky tricky though love can be.  Sneaks up on you when you least expect it.. Can never find it when you look for it.  So everyone stop your searching!  It is probably right under your nose.. So sly, that thing called love..

Love should be fun and full of laughter and ridiculous moments.  Without the moments of ridiculousness and all of those memories.. what would be left?  Not every love has to be your fairy tale romance or even a movie/book romance.. Each love blossoms into something truly unique and beautiful every time.. And that's the best part about love.  It's different for every couple, shaped to their qualities and quirks.

Love is total acceptance of another being into your heart and trusting them with everything you hold dear.  Its an all night conversation.  It's more than a feeling.  It's a first everything.  It's a lesson in life.. a "goodnight" kiss.  It's a see you later, no more goodbyes. Love is what we make it, precious, lustful, beautiful, blossoming, forever-changing.. It's the bliss you feel when you see that special person smile at you, knowing that they are all yours always, and there is no one who can take that away from you.  It's wondering How did I ever get so lucky?  There are no words to describe... It's like leaping over the moon.. its a constant celebration..

People forget too often the beauty of life and get too bogged down by the demands of life.  Sometimes, we all just need to take a step back, take a deep breath, and remember how lucky we are and how wonderful life can be.. especially when you are lucky enough to have your prince charming to share it with.

Go ahead and call me a sap if you want, and maybe I am.  But when you find that one special person, the one you know is your soul mate.. the one you could spend forever with .. you'll understand what I'm talking about.  You will all agree with me one day.... :-)

Love is Heaven on Earth.

tell it like you still believe that the end of the century brings a change for you and me

"I see you there, don't know where you come from...."
-The Fray, "Say When"
Music, music music...

The beauty of a great song that can catch your mood and sway with you.  The perfect song to make you feel just right.  Nothing beats this feeling, nothing in the world..  There is a song for every mood, written just for you if you know where to look.

The Soundtrack of our lives is always changing.  Our tastes are always changing.  We are always changing.  Nothing stays the same forever.  We grow, we learn, we love, we shape, we form, we restructure everything we know to represent the world surrounding us.  We give, we break, we cry, we crash.  And music helps us through it all.  Music, the passion of another to ease the transition, to ease the break.  Music to soothe my soul in the depths of night when no one is around and you just want a shoulder to cry on.

Music to celebrate, music to grieve... It's what we need.  It's what I breathe.  I have my breaks and times when I dont listen as much, but I always come back and it is always there for me when I need it most.  it completes me and heals me.

The power of music.  The strength of another voice saying "it's all going to be okay now, my sweet love" in so many words, or only few.  Simply sway me, rock me to sleep, my beautiful lullaby.. My sweet, sweet dreams.  My handsome prince.  My inspiration.

Music never fails me.  Never Never Never, oh my passion.  Don't you love how the perfect song at the perfect moment can make your heart so warm inside and bring about so many different emotions, always changing?  It's beautiful.  Those who kno, who understand music, know that this is what makes good music.  The ability for your listeners to relate, to feel, to understand; to unite music with the heart.

Revamping, Remodeling, Reviving. & a "Thanks" to, my 5. or 8. but whos counting?

Revamping my blog space.

In light of recent new additional blog friends, I have decided that I have seriously lacked in my writing for quite some time now.  To cure this fact, I have decided to re-establish my blog and try to do something more thoughtful and less, well, journal-esque from time to time.  Although I love sharing the details of my life, my goal is to pick a topic and delve into it a little bit each week, and try to give you all an insight into that thing they call a brain that is stored inside my head.  I know, funny right?  Who would ever thought there would be a reason to use it!

Remodeling, as in CHECK OUT MY SWEET DIGGS!! yes, diggs with two g's because that second g just makes it that damn important.

Reviving.

We all need to revive ourselves once in awhile, wouldn't you say?  From traumatic experiences, from a long week at work, a stressful night at school.. We all need to revive our souls and have the fun we have missed out on or have forgotten about in the rushes of every day life.  We are all so busy we often forget to have fun!

My goal is to re-awaken my soul to a world of literature and bring back my great passion for writing for no one but myself.  And that is what I intend to do here.  I hope you all join me on my ventures to discover what it is to truly live.. What an adventure!!  Something my life has been lacking, but oh the plans I will make!

In light of my first entry and readmittance into the love of literature, I am going to revive my blog with this entry in relation to one of my favorite books, The Five People You Meet in Heaven.

Granted, I may have more than 5, so bare with me if you are interested!

Jenny Robertson, my first best friend.  We have known each other since we were 5 years old when we met in Mrs. Tait's Kindergarten class.  We stayed friends because we both cried so hard when jenny was moving in first grade that our parents agreed to make sure we stayed in contact.  We are still friends to this day.  Although we may not be as close as we have been in the past, she means more to me than anything.  She knows me so well, and we have some of the most fondest memories I have the pleasure of holding.  She is my sister, my best friend, my other half.  I would not be the person I am today without her.   Although we have gone our separate ways, no matter what happens between us, she is the one person I know I can always look to if I needed someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on.  She would be there in a heart beat and I know she will always be there for me, as I would do the same for her.

Granted this is kind of my "crew" back from wentworth, they had some of the strongest impacts on my life as it was kind of a crucial age when we were all friends. All going through changes, all learning who we are, all just trying to find a spot we fit in... A spot we found with Eachother.   Kiyonah, Erica, and Katie were my best friends for so long.  Between starting bands, many many firsts with all of the, writing songs, laughing too loud, staying up too late, making up dances, talking for hours on end every night, and many other things... They have filled my life with wonderful memories.  They helped me learn to trust my friends and that it was okay to let go every once in a while.  Fun was the best thing and most important thing with these girls, and I will always love them for that.  They will always hold a special place in my heart (or for kiyonah, in a certain birthday music video from 6th grade featuring us and lindsey singing lady marmalade which I need to find and burn, by the way).  Even though most of us have gone our separate ways, Kiyonah and I have had several down points and always find our way back to each other because we have learned the true meaning of friendship; it is truly something so hard to find and I am glad that we have been able to restore something that is just so precious.

Lindsey Jean and Sandy... My saviors.  Without these two wonderful women in my life, I would definitely not be the person I am today.  I may not even be here today if it weren't for them and I will forever owe my life to them and will always owe them my gratitude.  They saved me from my own demons and showed me that I am beautiful, loved, and special; regardless of what others try to say about me or make me believe.  They will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will love them forever.  I hope that they will always be in my lives because they have both always encouraged me in everything I do and have been some of the few people to never lose faith in me, who always believed in me.  I'm not sure how, but some day i swear I will repay them both for everything they have done for me.  I love them like my own family.

My love, Brett.  The one who makes me experience every kind of emotion possible.  The one who brings the most joy into my life and makes me realize I am beautiful from the inside out and always will be.  He taught me love, loyalty, trust, and the key to healthy relationships.  He taught me about myself and made me realize it is okay to care about myself and others too, I cant always put others before myself.  He showed me the true meaning of love and what it means to have a best friend you can tell everything to.  He made me love myself and helped me learn who I am as a person... Or is helping me learn..  We both have helped each other in unimaginable ways that neither of us ever saw ourselves doing.. We made the impossible a reality for each other.

And of course, there are new friends who you find along the way that make you wonder how you ever survived without them, like all of a sudden an empty hole or a void in your heart was just suddenly filled by a kindred spirit.  Chelsea, my oh so wonderful step brother, has made me realize that you can trust people quickly; sometimes you can just tell when it is meant to be.  Sometimes you can just spot a friendship long overdue when you constantly find yourself telling each other "get out of my head!" or "no i thought that first!"  It's not easy to make new friends after high school, and she made me entirely forget that and has made em wonder how, being so so similar and alike, how we pulled it off.  She is one of the most amazing peope I have ever met and I hope we will be in each other's lives for years to come.  She is one of those people that are extremely hard to come by, and most people are never blessed enough to get to meet a special person like her.  I consider myself very lucky to be able to call her my friend, my step brother, my kindred spirit, my where-have-you-been-all-my-life friend.

These people or just a few of the so very important people to me.  I have been blessed with knowing some of the most amazing people.  I will love and cherish you always, no matter what becomes of us in the future.

take a minute to think about the people that are important to you.  It's amazing how often we take these people for granted and fail to realize that these people may not always be in our lives.  They will always leave an impact, and the depth of that impact is on your shoulders.. Make it Count.

Hey Maine, when did you stop disliking snow so much?

So I made the Dean's list for the Fall 2009 semester, I am SO happy and really proud of myself.  This is my first time being on the Dean's list so it is super exciting for me... I put in a lot of hard work last semester to get to this point and I am crossing my fingers that I can manage to pull it off again this semester!!

On January 16th, Brett and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary, it was wonderful.  I love him :-)

Lets ring in the new year, 2010! you better be a good one.. :-D

Ahh so much has been happening the past month.  Here is a brief update of my life as of late:

Semester has FINALLY ended.  I was overall very satisfied with my grades and it took until after Christmas to actually get them all (only one grade wasnt posted by Christmas, super annoying!!)  I got: A, A, A-, A-, B for an overall Semester GPA of 3.689.  My overall GPA is a 3.313.  I am quite pleased, but I was hoping for all A range this semester.. oh well, better luck in the fall!!.  My hope is to eventually get my GPA up to a 3.5 or higher by the time I graduate.. Can I do it? .....Crossing my fingers hardcore that I can, lol.  No biggie if I can't, but it would be wicked sick!!

Moving on from end of the semester, I had a WONDERFUL Christmas.  My parents spoiled me yet again, and so did my loving, wonderful boyfriend :-D  I got to spend a lot of time with my family and some friends and it was lovely.  Some Christmas highlights:  I got a bunch of VS Shirt, the new zelda game for the ds (lol my nerdy bf is trying to make me nerdy too haha), the new lol cat book, a $25 borders giftcard, and lots of looovee!  My parents gottt me a blu ray player, an ipod touch, a few movies, some cash moneyyy ;-) haha, andd soem other random small stuff, lots of clothes!!.  And finally, bretts parents finished off my fabulous Christmas with a $500 giftcard :-D

Another sort of "present" if you will, is that WALTERS HAS FINALLY REOPENED AT ITS NEW LOCATION AT 2 PORTLAND SQUARE.  THANK GOD!!!!!!!! so I have been working quite a  bit and finally making some money again. YAYY!!!!!!!!!! ridiculously exciting i cant even tell you how exciting.  The new location is absolutely GORGEOUS.  I am totally in love with the space.. it is so different fro our exchange street location.  They put a lot of hard work into it and it definitely paid off.. i get multiple compliments daily on ho wonderfult he new space is and what a step up it is from the old place, so refreshing and awesome, Im so happy that its going well for them.. and that i am working again!!

unfortunately though, I no longer get tips... but i get a higher hourly wage and eventually i also even get my OWN HOST STATION!! (okay well its not allll mine mine mine, but its all the hosts, which is like basically 2 of us with the occassional hosting shifts that the servers do).  Its nto in yet, but i can hardly wait for it, hopefully soon, woo hooo!!!!!

I also cant believe its 2010.  another year and ill be graduating college.. MAY 2011! so insane to think about.  And also, less than 4 months until I turn 21.. SO EXCIIITTEDD OMGGGGGGGGGGG :-D

Brett and I's 3 year anniversary is on January 16th :-D cant believe we have been together so long, it feels like I have known him forever, but at the same time, i cant believe we have been together and handled each other for 3 years, haha! so crazy.  I love him so much, hes my best friend :-D  it has certainly been the best three years of my life.. and here's to another happy year together, and many more to come :-)
